Recomprar means to buy back something previously sold, as in a company buying back its own shares (recompra de acciones). The corresponding noun is recompra. It is a regular verb. In commercial contexts it also refers to a retailer re-purchasing stock from a supplier, and in everyday speech simply to buying something again.
