Precipitadamente implies not only speed but recklessness — acting before sufficient thought or preparation. It commonly collocates with actuar, salir, and decidir: actuó precipitadamente ('he acted rashly'). The root adjective precipitado carries the same nuance of unwise haste, and the verb precipitarse means 'to rush headlong' or 'to act rashly'. This is more formal than simply saying deprisa ('quickly').
