Portada is the front cover of a book or magazine, a newspaper's front page, or the homepage of a website. Architecturally, it can refer to an ornate façade or portal of a church (la portada de la catedral). Despite sharing the root puerta (door), portada and puerta differ sharply in everyday meaning.
