Usage Note

Plan is a borrowing whose plural planes is regular. It is used informally for any arrangement (¿tienes planes para el fin de semana?, do you have plans for the weekend?) as well as formally for a structured project (plan de negocios, business plan). The phrase plan B is identical to English usage. Accent: the word is monosyllabic, so no written accent is needed.
