Pinchazo covers a flat tyre (Spain: tuve un pinchazo en la autopista, I had a puncture on the motorway), a needle prick (un pinchazo de la vacuna), and a sharp brief pain (un pinchazo en el pecho). In Latin America a flat tyre is more commonly called ponchadura (Mexico) or pinchadura. The verb is pinchar.
