Pasado as an adjective follows the noun to mean 'last' in a temporal sense: el lunes pasado (last Monday), la semana pasada (last week). As a noun, el pasado means 'the past'. It also means 'overripe' or 'off' for food: este queso está pasado. The feminine pasada appears in the colloquial phrase de pasada (in passing, briefly).
