Usage Note

Pa is a clipped colloquial form of para, common in informal speech across the Spanish-speaking world — voy pa casa ('I'm going home'). It is non-standard and should not be used in formal writing. Some varieties also clip para to pa' with an apostrophe to mark the elision.
