Usage Note

Orquestación is used both in its literal musical sense (the art of arranging music for an orchestra) and figuratively for the careful coordination of a complex plan or operation (la orquestación de la campaña). The figurative use is common in journalism and political commentary. The plural orquestaciones follows the regular -ción → -ciones pattern.
