Usage Note
Ocurrido functions primarily as the past participle of ocurrir (to happen), but stands alone as an adjective in constructions like lo ocurrido (what happened / the events that took place). This nominalised use — explicar lo ocurrido — is very common in formal and journalistic Spanish. It does not independently mean 'witty' in standard usage, unlike the related adjective ocurrente.
Examples
"Nadie entendió lo ocurrido esa noche."
Natural Translation
Nobody understood what had happened that night.
