Usage Note
Muscular is an invariable adjective in Spanish — the same form (muscular) is used for masculine and feminine nouns: tejido muscular, fuerza muscular. It is purely descriptive of muscle tissue or physique and does not have the informal 'brawny' connotation that English 'muscular' sometimes carries; for that, Spanish uses musculoso or fornido. The noun is músculo.
Examples
"El atleta sufrió una lesión muscular durante el entrenamiento."
Natural Translation
The athlete suffered a muscular injury during training.
