Usage Note
Movilización most often refers to the large-scale movement of people for political protest or military deployment. The plural movilizaciones is very common in news headlines about strikes and demonstrations. It derives from movilizar, which follows the -izar verb pattern (the 'z' before 'c' spelling rule: movilicé).
