Usage Note
Moralista is a common-gender noun: el moralista for a man, la moralista for a woman, with no form change. It can shade pejorative — calling someone un moralista often implies they are preachy or self-righteous rather than merely ethical. In literary contexts it also refers to an author of moral philosophy, such as the classical French moralistes.
Examples
"Es un moralista incorregible."
Natural Translation
He is an incorrigible moralist.
