sight (of a gun)
Usage Note
Mirilla is the small lens or viewer set into a door that lets you see who is outside without opening it. A second technical sense refers to the rear sight of a firearm. The word comes from mirar ('to look'), as do mirador (a viewpoint or bay window) and mira (aim, sight). In modern buildings it is sometimes called visor in Latin America.
