Miembro covers both a member of a group and a bodily limb. In anatomical contexts miembro (or miembro superior/inferior) replaces the informal brazo/pierna in formal registers. The plural miembros covers all genders; there is no accepted feminine form miembra in standard usage despite occasional attempts.
