Usage Note

Mentalmente modifies verbs or adjectives to indicate something occurring in the mind: visualizar mentalmente, agotado mentalmente. Like all Spanish adverbs ending in -mente, it is formed from the feminine adjective mental + -mente. When two -mente adverbs appear in sequence, only the final one takes the suffix: física y mentalmente (physically and mentally).
