Usage Note
Marginar means to push a person or group to the margins of society, a debate, or a process. It is slightly more formal than excluir and often appears in sociological or political contexts (marginar a los más vulnerables). The noun counterpart is marginación (marginalisation) and the adjective is marginado (marginalised).
