Usage Note

Magia is feminine. The phrase como por arte de magia — as if by magic — is a fixed idiom. The adjective mágico/a and the noun mago/maga (magician) share the same root. Magia negra (black magic) and magia blanca (white magic) are common collocations learners encounter early.
