Usage Note
Loncha is the standard Spanish (Spain) word for a thin slice of cold meat, cheese, or similar food — una loncha de jamón (a slice of ham). In Latin America, rebanada or tajada are more common for bread slices, while loncha is less frequent. Do not confuse with lonche (a packed lunch, used in Mexico).
Examples
"Comió dos lonchas de queso con el pan."
Natural Translation
She ate two slices of cheese with the bread.
