Lobo is the masculine form; the female is loba. The idiom un lobo con piel de oveja ('a wolf in sheep's clothing') is widely understood across the Spanish-speaking world. Lobo marino is the common term for a sea lion in Latin America. The diminutive lobezno or lobato refers to a wolf cub.
