Usage Note

Camello refers specifically to the Bactrian or dromedary camel. In Spanish-speaking cultures it appears in the Epiphany tradition — the Three Kings (los Reyes Magos) arrive on camellos. Colloquially in some Latin American countries camello can mean a difficult task or a grind of work.
