Usage Note
Lituano refers to anything or anyone from Lithuania (Lituania). As a noun it also refers to the Lithuanian language, one of the oldest living Indo-European languages. The feminine is lituana. Lithuania is one of the Baltic states; learners sometimes confuse lituano with letón (Latvian) or estonio (Estonian), the other two Baltic nationalities.
