Usage Note

Lóbulo most commonly refers to the earlobe (lóbulo de la oreja) in everyday speech. In anatomy it also designates lobes of the brain (lóbulos cerebrales), lungs, or liver. The accent on the first syllable makes it an esdrújula (proparoxytone) word.
