Also means
sudden intrusion
Usage Note
Irrupción describes a forceful, sudden entry or arrival, whether physical (troops bursting into a room) or figurative (a new technology bursting onto the scene). It is typically used with hacer irrupción en to mean 'to burst into.' Do not confuse it with erupción (eruption, e.g. of a volcano), which is a common mix-up for learners.
Examples

Natural Translation
The police burst into the building.

The police made irruption in the building.
