Usage Note
Inmediaciones is almost always used in the plural and means the area immediately surrounding a place: en las inmediaciones del aeropuerto (in the vicinity of the airport). It derives from inmediato (immediate/adjacent). The singular inmediación exists but is rare in everyday use.
