Usage Note
Ingresado is the past participle of ingresar used as an adjective, most commonly in the medical context: está ingresado en el hospital (he has been admitted to hospital). The verb ingresar also means to join an institution or to deposit money, but the adjective form almost exclusively refers to a hospital patient. The feminine form is ingresada.
