Usage Note

Ilustrador refers to an artist who creates illustrations for books, magazines, or digital media. The feminine is ilustradora. Do not confuse with ilustrado ('enlightened, educated'), which is an adjective from the same root — the Enlightenment is la Ilustración in Spanish.
