Hemisferio refers to half of a sphere — most commonly the geographic hemispheres of the Earth (hemisferio norte/sur) or the cerebral hemispheres of the brain (hemisferio izquierdo/derecho). It is a masculine noun. In astronomy it also describes half of the celestial sphere.
