Hechizo can refer to a magic spell cast on someone (lanzar un hechizo — to cast a spell) or more broadly to any irresistible charm or fascination (el hechizo de sus ojos — the enchantment of her eyes). As an adjective in some Latin American varieties (notably Chile) it can mean 'homemade' or 'makeshift'.
