genuinamente
genuinely
adverb heh-nwee-nah-MEN-teh Rare
Origin: From genuino (genuine), from Latin genuinus (innate, authentic).
Also means
authentically
Usage Note
Genuinamente emphasises authenticity — that something is real and not performed: genuinamente sorprendido (genuinely surprised). It is more emphatic than realmente and closer to 'truly' in the sense of 'without pretence'. The adjective genuino is a partial false friend: it never means 'genius' (that is genial or brillante).
Examples
"Estaba genuinamente sorprendida por la noticia."
Natural Translation
She was genuinely surprised by the news.
