frecuentar
to frequent
verb freh-kwen-TAHR Rare
Origin: From Latin frequentare (to crowd, to visit often).
Also means
to visit regularly
Usage Note
Frecuentar takes a direct object — a place or a person: frecuentar un bar, frecuentar malas compañías (to frequent bad company). It is more formal than ir mucho a or visitar seguido. The adjective frecuente and adverb frecuentemente share the root, and learners should note that frecuentar does not imply the same shadowy connotation as the English 'to haunt a place'.
Examples
"Solía frecuentar esa cafetería cada mañana."
Natural Translation
He used to frequent that café every morning.
