Usage Note

Filipino refers to anything of or from the Philippines (Filipinas). As a noun it also means 'a Filipino person'; the feminine is filipina. In Spain Filipinos is also the name of a popular chocolate-coated ring biscuit — a completely different meaning that can amuse or confuse. The Philippine national language is filipino (with a lowercase f in Spanish).
