Usage Note
Existencial describes matters relating to existence, especially in a philosophical or psychological sense: una crisis existencial is an existential crisis. The word is the same form for masculine and feminine (una amenaza existencial, un problema existencial). It stems from existencia ('existence') and the suffix -al, following a common Spanish adjective-forming pattern.
