Also means
studio
Usage Note
Estudio means academic study (el estudio de idiomas) and also a studio apartment or artist's studio (vivo en un estudio). The plural estudios commonly means 'education' or 'studies' as a whole (terminó sus estudios = she finished her studies). It is also the first-person singular present of estudiar (to study), so context matters.
Examples
"El estudio de idiomas abre muchas puertas."
Natural Translation
The study of languages opens many doors.
