Estrictamente intensifies rules, limits, or definitions: estrictamente prohibido ('strictly forbidden'), en sentido estrictamente técnico ('in the strictly technical sense'). It is more formal than solo or únicamente when narrowing a scope. The underlying adjective is estricto/a, which is used with ser to describe strict people or rules.
