Usage Note

Estrecho describes physical narrowness of a space or garment, but also functions as a noun (el estrecho) to mean a sea strait, as in el Estrecho de Gibraltar. As an adjective it has four forms: estrecho, estrecha, estrechos, estrechas. Do not confuse with estricto ('strict').
