Usage Note

Escena is used for a scene in a film or play, a visual scene or sight (una escena impresionante), and the theatrical stage as a concept (la escena española = the Spanish stage). Armar una escena means to make a scene. Do not confuse with escenario, which means a stage/platform or a scenario.
