enfoque

approach, focus

noun en-FOH-keh Less Common

Also means

angle, perspective

Usage Note

Enfoque is derived from enfocar (to focus) and is widely used in academic, journalistic, and business Spanish to mean a methodological approach or analytical angle. Desde un enfoque crítico = 'from a critical perspective'. It is more abstract than foco (which stresses the spotlight or point) and closer to 'framing' or 'approach'.
