Emplazamiento denotes the specific physical position or chosen site for a structure, installation, or military position — el emplazamiento de la base militar ('the siting of the military base'). It is more precise and formal than lugar or sitio. In legal Spanish emplazamiento can also mean a summons or citation to appear before a court, from emplazar ('to summon').
