Usage Note

Duodécimo is the ordinal numeral for twelfth, used in formal and written contexts; in everyday speech speakers often substitute doce ('el piso doce' instead of el duodécimo piso). It agrees in gender and number: duodécima, duodécimos, duodécimas. The written accent on the first e () is required to mark the stressed syllable.
