Usage Note

Dosis is an invariable noun — its plural form is identical to the singular (una dosis, dos dosis). It is feminine (la dosis correcta). Beyond medicine, it is used figuratively: una buena dosis de humor (a good dose of humour). The accent remains on the first syllable in all contexts.
