Usage Note
Diputada is the feminine form of diputado, the standard term for a member of the lower house (Congreso de los Diputados) in Spain or a national congress in Latin America. Both forms are used regardless of the chamber's name. The plural diputadas is used when the group is all-female; mixed groups use diputados.
