Desleal means lacking loyalty to a person, group, or institution — competencia desleal ('unfair competition') is a fixed legal phrase. Unlike English 'disloyal,' it does not emphasize romantic infidelity specifically; infiel carries that sense. The noun is la deslealtad ('disloyalty'). The adjective is invariable for gender: un amigo desleal, una amiga desleal.
