Usage Note
Cómic (plural cómics) is the standard Spanish term for a comic book or graphic novel, borrowed from English. In Spain it is widely used; in Latin America historieta is often preferred. The written accent on the o preserves the stress on the first syllable against Spanish's default penultimate rule.
Examples
"Mi sobrino colecciona cómics de superhéroes."
Natural Translation
My nephew collects superhero comic books.
