Cápita almost always appears in the fixed phrase per cápita (per head, per person), borrowed directly from Latin. It does not appear independently in everyday Spanish. Renta per cápita (per-capita income) and PIB per cápita (GDP per capita) are the standard collocations in economics journalism.
