Cubano functions as both adjective and noun: el cubano (a Cuban man), la cubana (a Cuban woman). It also names a style of heel (tacón cubano, 'Cuban heel') and a type of sandwich (el cubano) popular in Florida and Cuba. The Cuban Spanish dialect is known for aspirating or dropping final -s.
