Consonancia means consonance — both the acoustic sense (pleasing combination of musical tones) and the figurative sense of agreement or accord: en consonancia con ('in keeping with,' 'in line with'). The phrase en consonancia con is very common in formal and journalistic Spanish. Its opposite is disonancia ('dissonance').
