Comprimido as an adjective means compressed or compact. As a noun (un comprimido) it is the standard medical term for a tablet or pill — the form you swallow whole, as opposed to a cápsula (capsule). Pharmacists and doctors always use comprimido; pastilla is the common everyday word. Comprimido as noun is always masculine.
