Usage Note

Colofón has two distinct uses. In publishing it is the printer's note at the end of a book giving production details. In general usage it means a crowning or concluding element: como colofón de la ceremonia (as the crowning moment of the ceremony). The plural is colofones. Note the written accent on the final syllable.
