Usage Note
Clínicamente derives from clínico (clinical) plus the adverb suffix -mente. It appears in medical contexts ('clínicamente muerto', clinically dead) but also in figurative usage meaning 'with detached precision', much like English 'clinically'. When two -mente adverbs appear in a series, Spanish typically drops the suffix from all but the last: clínica y técnicamente.
Examples
"El paciente estaba clínicamente estable."
Natural Translation
The patient was clinically stable.
