Usage Note

Cerámica refers both to the craft of pottery and to a ceramic object or piece. It can be used as an uncountable noun (estudia cerámica) or countably (una cerámica del siglo XVII). The adjective cerámico/a is used for ceramic tiles (azulejos cerámicos) and similar materials.
